Matt Kuhlman was born in Lawrence, KS in 1982. He attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design before returning to the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where in 2008 he attained his BFA in printmaking. Other places he has lived include Albuquerque, NM, Sebree, KY, and New York City.  Over the last ten years Kuhlman has had numerous small-venue shows, with two of the higher profile people to obtain his works being internationally known artist Stan Herd and the late author Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
